eLocity A7+ Android Tablet
In the world of Android tablets is ever-growing and as of this morning we now have another release to look forward to.
The tablet is the eLocity A7+and according to what we have seen in terms of release details, it is set to arrive with (select retail and e-commerce sites beginning next week).
The eLocity A7+ tablet does seem to have some decent specs, however we are left scratching our heads as to why it will be launching with Android 2.2 Froyo.
But before we get into that, lets mention the price. The eLocity A7+ tablet price will be $229.99.

And as for adding some hope that the eLocity A7+ tablet will not live its entire life with Froyo, the press release did note that the tablet would “initially run” Android 2.2. Still, so far nothing solid as to when or what it will be upgraded with. That said, we would suspect Gingerbread but would of course be hoping for Ice Cream Sandwich.
Anyway, as we have seen with other Android tablets, this one is also be touted as a competitor to the Kindle Fire, Nook Color and Nook Tablet. And coming direct from the company.
“The A7+ is an appealing alternative to the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet and the Nook, offering a more powerful CPU, Tegra 2, Full Flash support, and a full local browser, keeping your data private and providing an expandable memory of up to 100GB. The eLocity A7+ is competitively priced compared to the Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet.”
That being said, while we are not entirely convinced that we would suggest anyone go for this over one of the other models, one thing is certain – competition in the tablet market is a good thing.
