Microsoft Office For iPad Coming Soon
Easily one of the most ubiquitous programs on the face of the Earth today, especially in terms of productivity, is Microsoft Office.
Containing word processing, spreadsheet, and database functions, including the always popular and occasionally maligned PowerPoint presentation software, Microsoft Office has been a part of offices almost as long as a computer has.
And now, there’s word that Microsoft Office is looking to make a jump to one of the biggest parts of the newer offices: the iPad tablet line.
We’ve heard reports previously saying that Microsoft was looking to bring Office to the iPad–indeed, Microsoft does have some titles currently available for iOS–but for right now, it’s Windows tablets only that offer up the Office suite. But Microsoft has been looking a lot more seriously at developing for tablets lately, pretty much catching on to the fact that they’re here.
Getting Office products on iPad, especially at a heavily discounted price, would be a good step indeed, I’d say, and would provide a whole lot of extra functions.
Even if you find the idea of word processing on a tablet distasteful, even with the variety of tablet keyboards out there, it would still be a help so that you can read documents or examine spreadsheets on your tablet.
But… Would you spend $10 to get Microsoft Office on your iPad?
