Samsung Galaxy Tab Get Speaker Dock
We don’t hear much out of iLuv these days, and that’s why this is a particular pleasure to bring back.
Not only do we have a new item from iLuv, which is something of a rarity in and of itself, but their new item represents the first ever speaker dock for a Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
It’s called the iLuv iSM524, and it’s going to serve a variety of purposes all at once.
iLuv iSM524–also known as the ArtStation Pro, according to reports–offers up an independent remote control for skipping and replaying within video and audio.
The remote attaches to the base unit with magnets so that it’s always readily available, assuming you don’t just leave it lying around somewhere like I so often do with my remotes.
It uses jAura acoustic technology for improved sound quality, and can provide support for the tablet itself (via that somewhat retro-looking docking clamp arm you see coming out of the base station) in either landscape or portrait mode, and can be used with the Galaxy Tab in all its available versions, from the second version seven inch tablets clear up to the 10.1 inch variety.
This is said to be the first product stemming from a joint venture between Samsung and iLuv called “Designed For Samsung Mobile”, which means there’s likely to be more of it to come. And this version will hit shelves by the end of this month, according to reports, and will sell at $149.99. What do you guys think about this one? A smart idea that will give your tablet better functionality? Or another example of Samsung and its copyist ways?
