Simultaneously with the start of sales worldwide third-generation iPad, a tablet into the hands of reporters and reviewers of technical publications and blogs.

The first thing they say in the new iPad – high-quality display, has become the main feature of the tablet.

Display devices, retaining a diagonal of 9.7 inches, can display just the same transcendental resolution of 2048×1536 pixels – four times more than the first two generations of the iPad tablets.

Despite the fact that in terms of pixel density per inch of losing a few new modern models of iPhone - 264 vs. 326 dpi - it is significantly superior to the competitors of a similar tablet form factor.

Apple representatives have noted that ( 264ppi is enough to call this display Retina ). After all, the distance from which the user sees on screen tablet, and a half times more than in the case of the phone.

Such a resolution can not boast of laptops, which are mainly working with Full HD resolution and lower, not to mention the stationary monitors. Among the tablets competitors in this parameter, too, have no equal - only at the exhibition MWC, ASUS demonstrated its flagship Optimus Pad 700, the resolution supports Full HD (1920 × 1080).

That’s why the owners of iOS-plates of previous generations is not recommended to display a new study. iPad 2 VS iPad 3 – as pointed out Mossberg of The Wall Street Journal: ” When some time using iPad 3 and returned to the iPad 2 or first iPad, will be a curve - around application icons like the clouds of pixels, the text is dull, muted colors.”

See the difference between the screens of the new iPad, and iPad 2 can be in the video below:

Many are concerned about the comparison of the new iPad 3 not only to its predecessor, but also with its closest competitors in the market of tablets.

Applespecifically asked the new benchmark in the industry – superdispley Retina,Bluetooth 4.0 support, and network LTE.

In the next table, compiled by Engadget members, to evaluate the specifications of the new iPad.

Compared with three clear leaders among the Android-tablets:

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity 700 and Toshiba Excite X10 LE (AT200).

As you can see as a major advantage of the new iPad over major competitors is above all the increased resolution of the display. It is also obvious advantage is the operating system iOS 5.1.

Retina display with 2048×1536 resolution, support for 4G cellular networks, 5-megapixel iSight camera with advanced optics and much more. So before we write a full review about the third generating of the Apple’s tablet iPad let’s present you the first released images of this magnificent piece of technology.

The Retina display transforms the complete tablet experience. Everything done with iPad, is done through large, stunning display, 2048×1536 pixels resolution. The New iPad has four times more pixels than the iPad 2 a million more than an HDTV. Those pixels are so close together, the eyes can’t discern individual ones at a normal viewing distance. The text is razor-sharp colors are richer . So everything looks and feels incredibly lifelike and perfectly detailed.

Kindle Fire vs iPad

After the announcement of Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet, 3.9 million units were shipped to consumers in Q4 of 2011 reaching 14.3 percent of the global tablet pc market.

With this volume of sales Kindle Fire becomes the second best selling tablet right after the Apple’s iPad. During the same quarter Apple shipped 15.4 million iPads and saw its share of the tablet market fall to 57 percent from 64 percent a year earlier.

Kindle Fire’s success comes at the expense of Apple as well as Samsung, however. Samsung sold 2.1 million tablets for an 8 percent market share, down from 11 percent a year earlier. Despite the disruption, Kindle Fire’s success will contribute to an overall increase in tablet shipments of 7.7 percent during the quarter.

“Nearly two years after Apple rolled out the iPad, a competitor has finally developed an alternative which looks like it might have enough of Apple’s secret sauce to succeed”, said Rhoda Alexander, senior manager for tablet and monitor research for IHS. So, what is the secret of Amazon’s Kindle Fire success? It seems that “Amazon, with the Kindle Fire, has found the right combination of savvy pricing, astute marketing, accessible content and an appropriate business model, positioning the Kindle Fire to appeal to a brand-new set of media tablet buyers” said Alexander.

Apple and Samsung have some of the most loyal customers, so marketing to that segment is not going to bring a new entrant much. The Kindle Fire costs $199, less than half the price of the cheapest iPad. It has a seven-inch (17.78-centimeter) screen, smaller than the iPad’s 9.7 inches (24.6 centimeters), connects to the Web using Wi-Fi and is powered by Android, so the gaining 14 percent market share comes from new tablet consumers entering into the market at an affordable price not by directly challenging the competitor. Amazon can afford to drop the price of the device and take a loss on the hardware, but using Kindle to drive sales of e-books, applications and physical goods that comprise the majority of the company’s business while other competitors cannot.

All these circumstances could further increase the market share of the Kindle Fire tablet and getting it close to the iPad and even surpassing it. Anyway it is hard to believe that Apple would stand aside and watch it competitor’s rise. Rumors are already spreading that Apple will soon lunch a 7” tablet, known as the iPad Mini that could be priced at $200 directly challenging Kindle Fire.

Apple has been rumored to have an iPad Mini in the works, which is reported to measure 7.85 inches diagonal.

But even as suppliers say that Apple’swork on its miniaturized iPad is underway, industry analysts are wary.

We earlier reported on Apple having started sourcing components for the reported iPad Mini, which should sit right between Apple’s iPhone and iPad product lines in terms of size.

But while designers have lauded the move, it’s not likely to happen anytime soon, according to Wedge Partners analyst Brian Blair. Blair cites Steve Jobs himself, who panned the very existence of 7-inch tablet computers.

Don’t expect a 7-incher. While we believe Apple has tested 7-inch screen prototypes for a year, we don’t currently expect the company to release anything in the 7-inch size in 2012.

Steve Jobs said the reason Apple doesn’t make a 7-inch tablet is because they ”think the screen is too small to express the software.” Apple wants to make the best user experience out of the tablet, and 7-inches is smaller than optimal.

Apple is likely to keep producing the iPad 2 even when the iPad 3 launches, in order to differentiate the markets. They could, for instance, sell the iPad 2 as an entry-level device in the $249 to $499 range, which is the same strategy that Apple does in selling the two-year old iPhone 3GS alongside the newer iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.

We probably should not expect a smaller iPad, at least in 2012, but Apple is known to have changed its mind on some significant business plans in the past–think Intel.

But while Amazon has already announced record Kindle Fire sales – without actually mentioning any sales numbers – Barnes & Noble is even more quiet when it comes to the total number of Nook Tabletssold to date.

A new report coming from DigiTimes claims that the company ordered one million units from its suppliers. However, as impressive as that number may be, it doesn’t necessarily mean Barnes & Noble actually sold that many Nook Tablet units:

“Barnes & Noble should have so far taken delivery of one million units of Nook Tablet PCs from OEM production partners, according to an estimate by sources at upstream suppliers.

Barnes & Noble has been increasing its orders to upstream component suppliers as well as OEM contractor Inventec due to strong sales in retail channels during the Thanksgiving holiday season in North America, said the sources.“

Considering that the Christmas shopping season is far from over, Barnes & Noble, but also Amazon, could end up selling even more affordable Android tablets in the following weeks.

Barnes & Noble was reportedly expected to order 800,000 Nook Tablet units by the end of the year. That’s a number clearly inferior to Kindle Fire sales estimates that suggested Amazon could sell a few million units during the same period. However, until both company declare actual Android tablet sales for 2011, we have no way of telling which tablet was the most popular this holiday season.

In the mean time let’s recap the official specs and features of the Nook Tablet:

1GHz dual-core processor

1GB of RAM

7-inch LG VividView touchscreen display

16GB of storage

microSD slot

Battery life: 11.5 hours

Android OS

Hulu Plus and Netflix Integration

Wi-Fi support (no 3G connectivity available)

Access to AT&T Wi-Fi Hotspots

Google’s Eric Schmidt was out having interviews with an Italian newspaper recently, and one of the things he brought up was something of a surprise to the tech world. Specifically, he brought up the idea of a Google tablet, and even went so far as to put a tentative date on the release: the first half of 2012.

Speaking to Corriere della Sera, an Italian newspaper which will require some translation to read, Schmidt remarked that, in the next six months, Google is planning to market a tablet. Given that that’s translated, and paraphrased, from the original Italian, there is some wiggle room in there.

Some have taken Schmidt’s remarks to mean that a marketing push is being planned for the various Android tablets out there–and there are plenty of those–or Google is contemplating a line of tablets similar in nature to the Nexus phone line.

Considering Google’s recent Motorola dealings, it’s not out of line to suggest a full-on Google tablet, likely packing in top-end hardware specs and almost certainly Ice Cream Sandwich. And considering what the Nexus line of devices has looked like so far, a Nexus tablet, or even a Nexus-style tablet, would likely be a pretty nice piece of hardware indeed.

Naturally, there aren’t any specs or anything available on this one just yet, as it is pretty much still in the concept stage of things, but I’m personally rather hopeful for this one.

Between what we already know could be done, like the Nvidia Kal-El processor, and what may well be done before too much longer like the Android version of Siri, a Google tablet could have a pretty big case to make. And if it’s priced comparably to the iPad 2, or hopefully the upcoming iPad 3, then that may mean a serious battle to follow in the tablet marketplace.

But what do you guys think about all this?

So that the folks at AppleInsider reported that The survey of 25 schools and their technology directors found that all of them were making use of Apple’s iPad while, just as interestingly.

So Apple had huge effect on education with this smart device and now schools should expect to use more iPad’s than computers over five years The Piper Jaffray survey also notes that iPads are seemingly being used to supplement full-blown computers, rather than replace them.

Looks like Apple is on track to maintain its release cycle and iPad 3 might be scheduled for an early spring release in 2012. Original iPad and iPad2 were launched in April 2010 and March 2011.

According to Citi Analyst Richard Gardner, iPad 3 is all set for a big launch with double the resolution of previous model. According to a note he prepared for investors, “There do not appear to be any significant technical hurdles remaining” to iPad3’s release.

Timing of this launch is all the more important for Apple considering many other factors. It needs to fend off the competition that is going to come from the slew of Android tablet releases.

Android’s latest Ice Cream Sandwich version will be giving some tough competition for iOS.There is also a buzz around quad core processors. Asus’s Eee Pad Transformer Prime, built on Nvidia’s Tegra 3 processor is setting the trend for many more quad core tablets from other manufacturers.

Amazon’s Kindle Fire at a price below $200 is making a dent in Apple’s market. Windows 8 OS release which is touch-optimized for tablets is already generating enough momentum and it will be a direct threat to Apple iPad. Also many of the new Android tablets are coming with 4G LTE connectivity.

Our previous post mentioned the rumors doing the rounds regarding 4G LTE enabled iPhone 5 and iPad 3. Considering all these factors, iPad is due for a major overhaul. Do you think a 4G LTE enabled iPad 3 with double the resolution of iPad 2 will set the ball rolling again for Apple’s total dominance in tablet market?
