HTC Jetstream Review
Review the HTC’s vision for the perfect 10-inch Android tablet, the HTC Jetstream, complete with a Qualcomm MSM8660 1.5 Ghz dual – core processor under the hood and a pricy $700 USD bill attached to it carried by AT&T.
The few questions we’ve got on our minds, and have had on our minds since the pricing was first announced is:-how could a 10-inch tablet enter an environment with several 10-inch tablets already having been out for several months with a significantly higher price and expect to do well for sales? As it turns out, this HTC tablet does not hold back – not in construction or content – but will its individual specifications be enough to create one product worthy of the full price ? Toshiba Thrive Review
Toshiba Thrive’s very aggressive pricing gives it an advantage over most other tablets. Its grooved back, full HDMI and USB support, full SD card slot, and replaceable battery justify its very bulky design. Also, its built-in file management system makes finding and accessing files in Honeycomb easier.
Toshiba Thrive isn’t a sexy tablet. It’s plump, a little bit awkward, although smart and supportive and you won’t be showing it off much to your buddies. If you reading this review, you probably already know that. You’re considering the Toshiba Thrive because you see past a pretty exterior and a tight slender body. You want great specs inside, a good clean install of Android 3.1 Honeycomb, ample full-sized ports, a swappable battery and other features. Read more about this post…
Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet Review
Today on the review board in TabletOlic we have the Lenovo ThinkPad tablet . The Lenovo ThinkPad has the body of a tablet but the head for business. Running on Android 3.1 Honeycomb, but filled with years of business and consumer laptop thoughts and ideas thanks to Lenovo. ThinkPad tablet helps power users and business professionals alike do more on the go, while managing to stay extremely portable even if it’s a bit heavy. We’ve gave it a quick glance and have plenty of photos and video after the break. Read more about this post…
BlackBerry PlayBook Review
The two words “play” and “book” are a bit of an odd choice for RIM’s latest attempt at consumer relevance, a tablet that, at its core, runs one of the most hardcore and industry-friendly operating systems known to man. The OS is QNX and the hardware is, of course, the BlackBerry PlayBook. It’s an enterprise friendly offering that’s also out to conquer the consumer tablet ecosphere, hoping to follow in the footsteps of the BlackBerry handsets that have filled the pockets of corporate executives and BBM addicts around the globe. Archos 101 G9 Tablet Review
The Archos 101 G9 runs 1080p video smoothly,(8GB) Memory, has a good quality screen, and its kickstand is a useful addition .This tablet is too large for what it offers and has awkward button placement.
Archos 101 G9 (8GB) delivers a complete Honeycomb experience, but its rough design, low quality camera, and awkward button placement make it feel rushed to market.
Archos 101 G9 Design
Archos 101 G9 has a medium – gray plastic chassis and its 1.44 pound body feels relatively thin, and about as heavy as most 10 inchers. When we held the tablet, a couple of edges on the bottom side got our attention. Also on the bottom are two small handles, ostensibly used to pry the chassis open. Although they don’t stick out as much as they did on the Archos 80 G9. Read more about this post…
Asus Eee Pad Transformer Review
Just for $400, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer has the lowest price of any Honeycomb tablet. Also, its high-quality screen and relatively cheap keyboard – dock make it an attractive option.
A few things keep the Transformer from completely blowing us away: the choppy recording and playback of the camcorder, its sharp edges, a build quality that’s somewhat lacking and problems that arise when docking.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer is a low-price, quality Honeycomb tablet with useful options. Read more about this post…
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Review
As thin as the iPad 2 and even lighter, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the sexiest Honeycomb tablet we’ve seen.
It has a 3-megapixel back camera and a 2-megapixel front camera, and powerful dual speakers.
But the lack of ports on the tablet will be a problem for some and the plastic back leaves it feeling less solid than the iPad 2.
Sleek, sexy, and light, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 gets as close to the iPad 2 as any Android tablet before it. Read more about this post…
Amazon Kindle Fire Review
• Dual-core processor means it runs fast as a tablet in web browsing and gaming.
• 7-inch IPS display (wide viewing angle and great color saturation).
• Weighs only 14.6 ounces (0.91 lbs) – less than a pound.
• Wifi only. Sorry no 3G model yet.
• Ultra-fast web browsing with Amazon Silk – exclusively available on Kindle Fire for now.
• The HomeScreen Carousel View is a beautiful experience. You could scroll through your books, music, magazines, apps with it.
• 8 Hours Battery Life. It is a little bit disappointing. It would be up to continuous reading in 8 hours or video playback in 7.5 hours.
• 1024 x 600 pixel High resolution – you could see more content on the screen.
• 169 pixels per inch – crystal clear and high resolution view for your pictures, magazines, and videos. iPad only has 132 pixels.
• Many famous brand apps such as Facebook, Netflix, Pandora, Yelp, and Twitter are in the Amazon App Store. You wouldn’t get bored with electronic kindle books only.
• An ebook reader, picture viewer, music and movie player, and web browser all-in-one
• $199 – which is a killer to iPad. I am sure that this attractive price is going to a winner this season. Read more about this post…
Apple iPad 2 Review November 2011
Finally we post the november review of Apple iPad 2.
When you read that the Apple iPad 2 is appreciably faster, thinner and lighter than the iPad 1, and boasts a pair of video cameras, you may wonder where shorcuts have been made in its construction. We certainly were – and we’re still looking for them.
The product is perfect, and discerning users will always be looking for ways in which the experience could be improved. Here’s our rundown of how well Apple has executed its second take on the iPad – and where there’s still room for refining what’s already proven to be an incredibly successful formula.
iPad 2 tablet with a 9.7-inch display, 1024 x 768 resolution, the general size and shape of the device has remained the same, and though inside there’s a new dual core A5 CPU, more memory, and a pair of new cameras, most of the iPad 2′s changes are cosmetic. The previous tablet soared far above most of its competitors when it came to the quality of both the hardware and its software selection. Read more about this post…
